We’re looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, takes pride in accuracy and has the confidence to manage the sales ledger while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
The Role
Reporting into the Finance Team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the sales ledger and supporting the wider finance function.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Raising and issuing customer invoices, including uploading invoices to customer portals where required
• Proactively managing outstanding debt and ensuring timely payment of invoices
• Contacting customers by telephone and email to resolve overdue accounts professionally and effectively
• Investigating and resolving invoice queries with both customers and internal teams
• Monitoring debtor balances and carrying out customer risk checks using internal systems
• Supporting the finance department with administrative duties, including processing purchase invoices, scanning documentation and completing supplier and customer onboarding paperwork
• Answering and directing incoming telephone calls
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Credit Control position
• At least 2 years’ experience using Sage 50 Accounts (essential)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
• A proactive and organised approach to managing your workload
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Confidence communicating with customers and colleagues at all levels
• The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a close-knit team
